The Charleston Tea Plantation located right outside of Charleston on Wadmalaw Island is the only tea plantation in North America. Take the economic, educational trolley tour of the plantation and enjoy the free samples of delicious teas.
Shopping
Downtown Charleston offers locally owned shops and designer stores that keep visitors shopping for hours on end. From clothing stores, book stores, art galleries, to jewelry stores, there is a place for shoppers of all interests; Tanger Outlets are just a short distance from downtown Charleston. Tanger Outlet Mall is located in North Charleston and there are several nice hotels in that area. Cato Park
It is Charleston’s biggest park, has a lot to provide if you are in search of outdoor fun. There are many activities that can be enjoyed, such as tennis courts, nine-hole golf courses, and an Olympic-sized pool, in addition to the walking paths that go throughout the park. There are also many picnic areas within the park, and plenty of space to just sit back and relax.
